My design work at ECONorthwest involves the translation of complex concepts into accessible products. Clients include Airbnb, Uber, Intel, and many more. I work directly with clients on work products, with internal staff on proposals, projects and asset development, and with our marketing team on strategic alignment and initiatives.
I've been an editor, by designation or de facto, at almost every place I've worked. I can fix grammar, spelling, structure, syntax, and tone, and I can add the ineffable quality that makes a reader connect with the text. I have edited books and other projects for Future Tense Books, Graphic Arts Books, and others.
Educational and Copy Writing
I've written copy and created original educational content for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), the Mission Ocean Program at Purdue University, and the Portland State University Library, among others. The curriculum I designed for OMSI's International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes, can be found here. At the PSU Library, I wrote and edited copy for appeals and initiatives and generated content for social media.
At ECONorthwest, I manage contractors and interns and do the majority of the training that relates to our department. This year I led the management team in an identity process that will inform a brand refresh and a new website. I've managed the design side of complex projects for many clients.
